Hello!
I'm Vivian Bucksbee - creative crocheter, hardworker and photographer at KC Kids Photo.
Working with children has always been a natural part of my life. As the oldest of six siblings, I grew up helping care for younger kids and quickly learned the importance of patience, empathy and adaptability. Being surrounded by children from a young age shaped how I communicate, support and connect with kids of all ages and personalities, and it continues to guide the way I work with students today.
During photoshoots, I am detail oriented and caring, taking the time to gently check outfits and hair so each child feels comfortable and confident in front of the camera. I move at a calm, steady pace and offer reassurance along the way, helping students feel at ease while keeping the process smooth and organized. I never rush children and always allow space for them to relax and be themselves. By focusing on both the little details and the child’s comfort, I am able to capture natural smiles and moments that truly reflect who they are.
I have been with KC Kids Photo for the past two years and this role has become more than just a job to me. I value being part of a team that prioritizes children, relationships and consistency. One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is helping make picture day a positive experience, not only for students but also for teachers and staff. I take pride in being a reliable, caring presence that schools and families can trust year after year.
What I enjoy most about my job is the opportunity to make a difference, even in small ways. A kind smile, a calm voice, or taking a few extra moments with a child can completely change their experience. Knowing that these moments lead to photos families will treasure for years is what motivates me every day.
Outside of work, I enjoy crocheting and reading, both of which reflect my creative and laid back nature. These hobbies help me recharge and stay grounded, allowing me to show up fully present on picture day. I am grateful to be part of the KC Kids Photo team and honored to help create meaningful memories and positive picture day experiences for schools, families and students.
